I received a short list of very helpful instructions from my friend a friend of mine who is a very talented photographer ... and so I get all excited about aperture and shutterspeed and ISO and other settings and some of those may be the same thing but forgive me, I'm new. Anyhow, so I pick my camera up and to my delight my dinky little point-and-shoot has all these manual adjustments available to me and not thirty seconds into my happy little exploration my batteries die on me. So I'm going to throw on some non-pajamas and run to the store for some more double-A's and possibly some food because, come to think of it, I haven't eaten since yesterday.

Maybe - MAYBE if I can prove my worth on a dinky camera my dad will meet me halfway with the Canon XTi I want to get. And yes I'm 27 and married so that's kind of sad but whatever.
